Social Transcript Information Meeting Held: A Step to Empower Your Future
An "Information Meeting on Social Transcripts" was held at Edremit Vocational School, aiming to record students' social, cultural, and volunteer activities alongside their academic achievements. The meeting was presented by Lecturer Nuray UNAT, who is the Vice Director and the Head of the Social Transcript Commission.
During the presentation, it was emphasized that the social transcript application is a vital system that documents the social activities students undertake throughout their university lives, stating that these activities place students one step ahead of other candidates in job applications. It was noted that evaluating students not only based on their academic success but also through their involvement in volunteer work, social responsibility projects, club activities, and various events is of great importance today.
The event highlighted that social transcripts contribute to students' personal development, boost their self-confidence, and serve as an important reference in their career planning. Furthermore, students were encouraged to actively participate in this process and to record all their activities.
At the conclusion of the program, Lecturer Zeki ZÜREY, a member of the Social Transcript Commission, presented a certificate of appreciation to Lecturer Nuray UNAT for her contributions. While the event was followed with great interest by the students, it was considered a significant step toward the widespread adoption of the social transcript application.
