Plants Growing in Olive Groves and Their Ecological Importance Were Discussed
Our Olive Growing Program students came together for a presentation titled “Friends of the Olive: Plants Growing and Naturally Occurring in Olive Groves,” delivered by Nazım Tanrıkulu, the Branch Manager of BAÇEM (Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Products Assessment Market).
Our students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the importance of plants within the olive grove ecosystem in terms of biodiversity, soil health, and sustainable olive cultivation.
The event, coordinated by Lecturer Dr. Mücahit Kıvrak, concluded with a group photo session following a Q&A segment.
We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Nazım Tanrıkulu for his valuable contributions and for sharing his knowledge and experience with our students.
